A design system template for council websites created to bring continuinity and consistency for councils looking to update their digital presence.

Many Council websites are neglected and left to fade away as many were built during the 'internet is just a fad' era. This has left many council websites feeling outdated and difficult to navigate due to poor UX. This design system plans to mitigate these issues by having carefully crafted UI elements designed to bring the look and feel of council websites into the present era to boost their engagement.

The most difficult part of this project was developing a bespoke wordpress back-end that gave us full control on how we wanted to put together a client website. Upon completing the design system we were able to reduce the time spent designing a council website for our client by 30%.
